MAX MILLER
Max Miller began to propel himself to the forefront of the amateur moto- cross stage after finishing in fifth place in the Mini Sr. 1 class at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in 2015. The Orange Brigade backed athlete backed it up the very next year by improving his finishes at the Ranch, recording a third overall in Supermini 1 and a sec- ond overall in Mini Sr 1. The Oregon native excelled at the Millcreek Spring Classic at the beginning of 2017 as he earned a number one plate in the Two-Stroke B/C class as a well as
a second place overall finish in the 125 B/C division. Unfortunately, Miller wasn’t able to continue the remainder of the spring nationals after suffering a torn ACL during practice at Oak Hill, placing him out of action for the remainder of the year. He returned
to racing at the Arizona Open and claimed a pair of number one plates before closing out the year with
some solid results at the RVMX Cup. Miller tested himself against some stiff competition at the beginning of the 2018 season, recording two third place finishes as well as two main event victories.
JALEK SWOLL
Jalek Swoll has been one of the hot- test prospects in amateur motocross since winning his first Loretta Lynn’s National Championship in 2013 aboard a KTM. It wasn’t long until
the Floridian was scooped up by the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna team, accompanying him in his transition from the 85 to the 125. Swoll has racked up a total of three number one plates at the Ranch, most recently in 2016 as he swept the Schoolboy 1 and 125 B/C classes in fairly domi- nant fashion. The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider got the ball rolling early in 2017 as he found the top step of the podium in his home state of Florida at the Daytona RCSX, coming out on top in the Schoolboy 1 class. Practically two weeks later, Swoll bested his performance from the World Center of Racing and claimed both number one plates at the JS7 Freestone Spring Championship in
a practically unstoppable manner. Mechanical issues and DNFs marred his results at Loretta’s this past year, but his speed was still evident in the form of two moto wins. The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider only made it as far as two races at Mini O’s before injuring his arm, but he’ll be back on the bike in time for spring nationals.
