CHRIS JONES
It’s not often that you encounter a one stop shop for everything motorcycle related, but that’s exactly the kind of experience that Iron Pony Motorsports Superstore in Westerville, OH of- fers to its customers. The uniquely operated and family-owned business is a one of a kind establishment, stocking everything from apparel, parts, and motorcycles as well as utility vehicles -- and stocking it in an incredibly high volume. Their 133,000 sq ft. retail space of- fers an incredible amount of inventory to pick through -- including around 20,000 helmets, 10,000 riding jackets, and fifteen different manufacturing brands all under one roof.
Jones, CEO of Iron Pony, has organically grown the business from humble beginnings, start-
ing as a NAPA Auto Repair store and then a small parts and apparel store ran by his father.
With the help of his wife Tammy and a number of core employees that have stuck around since the early days, Iron Pony has graduated into one of the most impressive, complete one stop motorcycle shops in the entire country. They exceed expectations as a motorcycle retail center, boast a hefty presence in the online commerce department, run their own parts and service center, and host their very own Iron Pony Riding Academy. It’s refreshing to see a dealership that puts so much back into the motorcycling community, has grown exponentially throughout the years, and still retains all of the core values that make our industry so special. We were able to borrow Chris from his busy sched- ule for a quick chat, getting the run down on the history of the company and how it’s progressed throughout the years.
