Years ago when we pointed our aim towards seeking out the “best” amateur motocross racers in the world, we came up with a system to calculate the results
to single out the top racers. The problem was -- and still is no matter how we spin it -- the sys- tem is flawed. It is impossible to have a legitimate ranking without the athletes competing in the EXACT same events. Sure, we can simply go by a set schedule and just focus on the riders that line up on the gate and finish well, but it is flawed.
