IMAGE / PARADISE WORDS / LANNAN DESIGN / WILSON
>> Ramyller Alves was bound and determined to make a statement in the Lazy E Arena. His speed was insane all day and he continued to impress with every gate drop. After coming off a win in the 250 Pro Sport, Ramyller was ready to continue the dominance as the Main for the 250 A (14-18) division was about to begin. Out of all the riders in the small group, Ramyller was
on the furthest outside and knew he had to give it all he had if he wanted a chance at a good start. When the gate finally dropped, he launched his Yama- ha onto the start straight and immediately had an impressive lead as the bikes thundered into the first corner. He was forced to go to the outside and even with everybody else challenging him for the position on the inside, Ramyller held the throttle on. After nearly colliding with Moranz, he sling shotted into the second section and crossed the holeshot line first. Mr. Alves was back in the lead and was looking like the early favorite to win. He knew what he had to do to hold on to the lead and he began to do just that. Blistering fast but consis- tent, he executed excellent technique while navigating the tacky Oklahoma soil. He had a clear track in front of him and it was evident as he continued to post the best lap times of the race. After four laps, 2nd place, Moranz began to creep into Alves radar, but Ramyller answered back and picked the pace
up again. He opened his lead back up and was looking quite comfortable. His silky smooth riding style paid off as he crossed the line in first with over a two second gap back to 2nd place. The Florida rider was ecstatic to finish up his undefeated day at the Junior Moto X.
