>> Not many racers are able to accumulate the accolades that Cooper Webb has. He is a three time 250 champion, including back to back championships in 2015 & 2016 in the West Coast SX series. That being said Cooper has not yet given anyone reason to believe that he will become a great in the sport after a dull 450 rookie season and a terrible start to his sophomore year.
It has been made clear by Webb himself that he is not proud of his accom- plishments so far on the 450 and he even went as far as saying he was going to get on the podium this weekend at A2. Webb got an 6th place start in the first race of the night. Tomac quickly got by putting the #2 in 7th. Later in the race Webb go moved back by a few riders including Anderson and Musquin putting the Yamaha rider to finish 10th. Cooper didn’t get the greatest of starts in the second main event coming around in 9th. Cooper made his way past his old teammate Chad Reed for 8th. The #2 then quickly capitalized
on a downed rider to make his way upto 7th. Coopers new teammate Justin Barcia moved Webb back to 8th. Webb was able to get back to 7th taking advantage of another fallen rider. @cooperwebb2 came around in 4th in the final main event but was outside of the top five after the opening lap. Sadly Cooper couldn’t regain composure after a few bad laps and he dropped back to 11th at the finish. Coopers track record this year is 10-12-10 so far and that is far off of his expectations. Lets hope the #2 can figure it out and bring another face to the winners circle.
