the rest of the pack, wasting no time by warming up or set- tling into a rhythm. Braswell lead the race on his Husqvarna machine, but the Team Green Kawasaki of Romano kept him honest throughout the first couple laps by keeping the pres- sure applied throughout the first couple of laps. The KTM rider of Gavin Towers fell just out of contention, but he was able to run a similar pace to the leaders as he kept them in sight on the start of the third lap. Romano continued to shad- ow the lines of the Husqvarna ahead of him, maintaining the gap to the front of the field as the two riders played a game of cat and mouse. Braswell turned it up on the final lap as he was able to resist the pressure from the Team Green rider that nipped at his heels for the entirety of the race. Braswell’s victorious performance will give him confidence heading into the second moto where he’ll battle bar-to-bar with a full gate of competitors.
