>> The Kawasaki duo of John Grewe and Gregory Pamart got out to the head of the field right out of the gate in the Vet 35+ class. Grewe eked out a 2 second advantage ahead of Pamart on the opening lap as he began to set the pace from the head of the field. The battle for 2nd place heated up on the first flying lap as Michael Stevenson was able to force his Suzuki underneath Pamart just before the land of moto- cros section. Once he made the pass, he set his sights on Grewe in the lead. The Babbit’s Kawasaki backed rider was in position to take the overall victory with a 1st place finish
in the first moto. Stevenson was able to match the pace of the leader, but the gap that he gave up at the beginning of the race was enough for Grewe to maintain with veteran composure. He cruised around to the finish line and claimed the checkered flag ahead of Stevenson in 2nd and Pamart in 3rd, and he was able to secure the overall victory with two moto wins.
