>> Babbits Kawasaki’s John Grewe set off to another hole- shot that gave him a clear track and a growing advantage across the opening lap. John Bowlin and Gregory Pamart were attempting to hang on to the ragged pace that Grewe was laying down at the front of the field. The two of them were feeling the pressure from the New Jersey native of Barry Carsten on his Suzuki. Meanwhile, Grewe’s advan- tage multiplied with every passing lap, putting in trademark laps based in consistency and outright speed. As the white flag came out, Grewe maintained a 10 second gap ahead of his fellow Kawasaki rider of Bowlin. Pamart had lost a bit of ground to the 2nd place rider and remained under immense pressure from Carsten’s Suzuki. The battle for the final spot on the podium came all the way down to the last corner, but Pamart was just able to hold on to the slight advantage and round out the podium.
