>> Riley Blue put his Triangle Cycles backed Yamaha out
into the lead with a perfectly timed jump out of the gate as he lead the pack into the setting sun. Derek Hopkins and Angelo Molina weren’t able to keep the pace of Blue at the head of the field as the Yamaha inched away into the distance. Molina sensed that he had a little bit of a speed advantage over the Kawasaki of Hopkins in 2nd place, therefore applying a fair
bit of pressure on him headed into the gator pit at the bottom of the finish line. The leading trio began to spread out with a multi-second gap between the lot of them as they picked up the white flag signal for the last lap. Blue had the win wrapped up at the start of the lap as long as he was able to put to- gether a steady, mistake-free ride to the finish line. He did just that as he greeted the checkered flag with a fist pump and set himself up for a proper shot at the overall victory.
