>> Kyle Chisholm was fortunate enough to be eligible to be dropped down from the 450 class to the 250 class for the 2017 season. This also got inter- est from teams and Kyle was able to link a deal with the Smartop Motocon- cepts team for the west coast series aboard a 250. Kyle has had goof runs on the west coast but his figure seems to fit the 450 machines much better, as Kyle is one of the biggest riders in the entire circuit. When the series headed to the east coast Chisholm decided he was going to make an effort aboard the 450 class with help from motoconcepts and personal sponsors. Earlier in the east coast series Kyle was receiving help from a construction company as his main sponsor but has recently been running RickyFowler as his main sponsor. Ricky Fowler is a top PGA Golf player, Kyle and Ricky have been friends for years and as a former motocross rider Ricky loves the series and is always glad to help out his good buddy Chisholm. Kyle had a long night of racing as he had to race the heat, semi and lcq before mak- ing his way to the main event. The lcq for Chisholm was a bit crazy but that is what the last chance qualifier is all about. In just the first lap of the race Kyle went from 4th to 1st back to 4th. Chisholm eventually crossed the fin- ish line with a qualifying position and put himself and his personal sponsors to the main. The #11 Honda rider was riding in a respectable top 15 place position for most of the main event before having some issues on the track. Chisholm fell back to 19th. There is one more East coast race before the series heads back to the west and Kyle will be making the move back to the 250 class where top 10 finishes are well within grasp.
