>> When viewing a rider from the sidelines or stands, many draw a quick summary of both personality and track preference, just by judging the competi- tor’s style. A more meticulous, calculated style? Definitely suiting for more of the Supercross and Arenacross nature, maybe shying away from the true grit of the outdoors. Someone with their feet of the pegs, a tad more rugged and wild? Then the nationals would probably be of better preference. Justin Bogle isn’t one of those riders, however. A grace that can be as polished as any, daz- zling those who watch under the lights of Supercross, but can also translate into numerous podiums on the outdoor circuit; that, folks, is part of an equation for an excellent rider, and one that teams yearn to sign year after year. And Unadilla was a place to showcase his entire skillset. The gate would drop for the first moto, and Bogle would speed around the opening bend just on the
tail of Matt Bisceglia. With Marvin Musquin working his way around both, JB19 would follow suit, trailing the KTM for quite sometime. Flicking his bike to the right as he topped each and every table-top on the track, the drain plug was being flashed to fans, during every single opportunity of air time. Being passed by only Cole Seely and Blake Baggett by the checkered flag, his final residing spot would be that of fourth. Coming into moto number two, he didn’t shy away from the water at all, instead, embracing the challenge it created. His start would be detrimental however, coming across the opening stripe in 17th. Look- ing to move forward, he had to get creative, outside, inside, crossing over the so-called “ruts” with pivoting and slashing, using all weight variations in order to dodge the biggest sinkholes on the track. Pushing forward with each passing moment, as the shortened moto would come to a conclusion, he would rally to an eye-catching tenth place, just in front of Blake Baggett. The result of the day would be a seventh overall.
