>> Millville, Minnesota’s Jeremy Martin really showed us the J. Mart. that we have all been hoping and searching for throughout the previous rounds. Unadilla had an ominous blanket of dark and stormy clouds quickly moving in as the riders lined up for the, bound to be intense, first 250 moto of the day. The thirty- second card went up and the excitement levels were rapidly rising as riders and spectators alike were patiently expecting the unexpected. The whir of bikes and fans filled the air, gates dropped, and the riders were off. Jeremy Martin rocketed down the start straightaway and found himself in fourth place early in the race. The halfway point was quickly approaching and Martin knew that he had to start making moves. First, the Geico Honda rider made a pass on Aaron Plessinger for third place. Then, after a mistake from a second place Adam Cianciarulo, Jer- emy Martin was able to capitalize and move into second behind Joey Savatgy.
J. Mart. soared by the checkered flag in second, with thoughts of the overall run- ning through his mind. Within an hour after the end of the first 250 moto, the sky opened up and Mother Nature was relentless with her torrential downpour over the track. After a long rain delay, nervous racers lined up and immediately started mentally preparing for the mud fest that was about to begin. Jeremy Martin knew that the start was everything if he wanted to reign victorious in New York. The gates dropped and the clean, red, #6 machine came rocketing down the start straight with the holeshot. Jeremy Martin stayed smooth, smooth in the sloppy conditions and was able to persevere through the puddles to the checkered flag, where he snagged the moto win and the overall victory.
