>> What a roller coaster of a day for the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider Adam Cianciarulo. This Florida native started off his day so strong when the gates dropped for the first 250 race of the day. With rain approaching, Cianciarulo knew that the start was going to be everything
if he could get it together and capture a great start. The gates dropped
and the number 36 machine was immediately ricocheted to the front of
the pack, where he grabbed the holeshot as the riders exited the first turn. Sadly, misfortune struck for Cianciarulo around the halfway point of the race and he fell over resulting in passes from Zach Osborne and Aaron Plessinger before the end of the moto. The checkered flag flew and AC was able to hold onto a fifth place finish. The gray clouds were progres- sively darkening as the sky opened up before the start of the second motos of the day. The downpour was torrential, resulting in a long rain delay. With more time than usual to think, a completely saturated track laid out before him, and a fourth place overall finish a couple of weekends ago at Wash- ougal, Cianciarulo had to have been hungry for an overall podium finish at Unadilla. Unfortunately for Cianciarulo, the start was everything in this mud fest and he came of the gate in a tenth place spot. After quick passes on Cunningham and Nichols, Adam Cianciarulo was able to slip and slide into the eighth place spot before the checked flag flew. With 5-8 finishes for the day, Adam Cianciarulo left Unadilla with a sixth place overall finish. We all know that AC has the speed to win, but hopefully he can bring it all together at Budd’s Creek and get the results that he has been searching for.
