>> After a moto win and a sixth place overall finish at Washougal, Plessinger arrived in New York hungry for a repeat performance. The Yamalube/ Star Rac- ing/ Yamaha rider lined up for the first moto ready to capture the results that he knows he is capable of. The storms were quickly approaching as the thirty-sec- ond card was raised and the gates fell. Plessinger was immediately off to a great start and found himself in the third place position, charging hard to try and gain more spots. Toward the halfway point of the moto, a determined Jeremy Martin stuck a pass on AP that sent him into the fourth place spot when the checkered flag waved. With a solid fourth place finish, I’m sure that Plessinger was excited for the second moto of the day so he could proved himself a worthy contender
at Unadilla for an overall podium finish. Unfortunately, many of the riders had
to have hit a mental roadblock when the sky opened up releasing sheets upon sheets of torrential rainfall onto the track. After a lengthy rain delay and a track prep that involved scrapping some of the layers of thick and goopy muck off of the track, it was finally time for racing to be back underway. The gates dropped and the mud was flying as Aaron Plessinger found himself, once again, with a fantastic third place start. Slipping and sliding, Plessinger was putting in a great ride in not so great conditions in attempts to hold onto his podium spot. Misfor- tune struck on the unpredictable track conditions as Plessinger slid out in some mud that sent him back to tenth place. Aaron Plessinger finished the second mud moto in the tenth place spot and with a 4-10 for the day, he left Unadilla with a solid seventh place overall finish. Hopefully Plessinger can find better luck at Budd’s Creek for round eleven.
