>> Kyle Cunningham has not had the best luck this 2017 pro motocross season, with some hard crashes and unlucky moments the JGR Suzuki rider hasn’t quite found his groove yet. With only a few races left of the season, Cunningham has been putting in the time working towards improving his results before the season is over. Qualifying 11th for the day, he was look-
ing comfortable at the famous Unadilla track. Not quite getting the traction he needed out of the gate, he was back around 19th through the first turn in moto one. Not wanting to hang around in mid-pack, he picked up his speed and be- gan making passes. Making it up to 15th, the JGR Suzuki rider was heading in the right direction as the moto progressed. At the halfway point, he was in 14th behind the young gun of Sean Cantrell. Ascending forward all the way until the finish Cunningham finished off moto one in 13th. After a long rain delay, It was time for moto two, and the track was under water. Looking to get a better start, but stay mistake free in the mud, Cunningham carefully charged out of the gate in moto two. Sitting right around 14th he was already starting off in a better position. Because of a significant amount of mud, the race was no longer just about speed, but consistency as well. Riding cautiously, he was able to make his way into 10th place. Avoiding the chaos around him, Cunningham worked his way all the way up to 7th, one of his best moto finishes of the season. Go- ing 13-7 for the day, the JGR Suzuki rider finished 10th overall, his best this season.
