>> The beast has awoken from the dormant time of leisure, as the series has halted for a brief hiatus for the past few weeks. With the presence of Unadilla swarming both fans and friends alike, there are numerous in the industry that have had this specific date circled, and are anxiously awaiting the drop of the gate. There were none more excited than Marvin Musquin, as his demeanor was irradiating with both positivity and confidence, from the moment he stepped foot on the property. The track, being a mimic of his native GP circuits, cre- ated a gelling effect between both man, machine, and course, the moment his tire sunk tread into this fine black soil. Pushing through the practice rounds
with solid effort, Musquin was locked, ready, and loaded for the first moto gate drop. As the pin fell, he rocketed to the front of the field, closing on the early lead of Matt Bisceglia. He would break the number 43 Suzuki, in the infamous “Screw-U” turn, squaring up and getting immense drive up the hill. He would continue to pound, exquisite carving lap after lap. His form never deteriorated; although a late charge from Blake Baggett with the pounding rain amounted a spike in the heart rate, he wouldn’t crumble; going on to take the moto victory. As the skies began to unload for moto number two, the course turning into a giant retaining pond, puddles displayed reflection as chunks of roost splashed across the circuit. A true ripple effect, Marvin Musquin’s confidence boosted the KTM to another holeshot, and early lead. Each lap, his precise French accuracy would blossom to the fullest extent, only dabbing the forefoot when necessary, and shaving time at every possible parameter of the course. With a condensed format, due to the hazardous conditions, he knew if he could continue to sprint, the last laps should be that of a breeze. And everything began to fall into place as it should, as the checkered flag neared, and he would come across the line, captivating both field and audience, taking both moto and overall win.
