>> Mitchell Harrison has been riding a stellar outdoor season this year, finish- ing within the top ten overall in every race but one. The Star Racing Yamaha rider has looked like he’s been racing pro motocross for years, but in reality,
this is only his second year going at it. With some impressive rides throughout the season, Harrison is still looking for more consistent podium finishes, and he was hoping for one at Unadilla. Qualifying for round ten didn’t go so well for the Yamaha rider as he was back in 17th heading into moto one. Not getting the best gate pick for moto one, Harrison was awake and ready to throw down when that gate dropped. Charging into the first corner, he was sitting all the way up in 6th place behind some heavy hitters of the 250 class. Losing only one position at the end of the first lap, the Star Racing Yamaha rider stayed consistently in 7th for almost half of the moto. Before the race concluded he lost two more positions finishing off the moto with a 9th place finish. Not his best, but much better than his poor qualifying time earlier in the day. After watching the track get dumped on by mother nature, it was finally time for moto two, and the course was flooded. But in motocross, a little mud never hurt anyone. Staying smart in the slippery mud Harrison was up in 8th around the first turn in moto two. But it didn’t last long before the mud got the best of him and he fell all the way back to 13th. Getting a little anxious he began pushing, but it didn’t quite work out sending him back even further into 16th where he finished off the second moto. Going 9-16 for the day, Mitchell Harrison grabbed himself a 13th overall for the day.
