>> Coming all the way from the U.K., Steven Clarke has been pushing hard this season to prove he has what it takes to get himself a ride. Riding some strong races throughout the season, he has been working towards improv- ing his results. Qualifying 18th for the day the privateer had some major time to make up on the track heading into the motos. Getting a good jump out of the gate, Clarke was sitting right around 8th through the first turn. Unable
to hang onto his top ten spot he quickly fell back to 13th. Only a few laps
into the moto, bad luck hit Clarke when his bike began smoking leaving him sidelined for the remainder of the race. After waiting awhile due to a lightning delay, it was time for moto two, and the track had turned into a lake. Hoping for a better second moto, he charged again out of the gate getting another decent start leaving him around 13th place through the first turn. Making moves early on in the race he was quickly up to 11th right behind Kyle Cun- ningham. Battling with the insanely muddy track conditions, consistency was key in the short moto. Fighting to keep it on two wheels until the end of the moto Clarke maintained his position through to the finish. Going 39-11 for the day he finished off round 10 with a 15th overall.
