Davalos qualified 4th with a lap time of 46.721 almost a full second behind the fastest qualifier and main event runner up Malcolm Stewart. Martin had a flaw- less night leading every single lap except for the opening lap of his heat race,
where he passed for the lead right after the finish line and never looked back.
Getting his Husqvarna FC250 out front early with a 3rd place start is exactly how the #49 would start the main event and put himself into the lead before the green flag was out. Davalos laid a clinic of laps early in the main event and rode solid with little to no mistakes to grab the first win of the east coast series and will hold the red background at Daytona signifying that he is the series points leader.
