>> Spending much of his amateur and pro career in the shadows of brother Jeremy, Alex has now established himself as a contender in Pro Motocross. His steady track of improvement landed him on factory teams over the years and after finishing 2nd overall in the 2016 250 Pro Motocross series, Alex has found a home aboard the TLD KTM. He was eager to get the series underway last weekend as
he pushed to a very commendable 2nd place overall, proving once again that he is a championship contender. The Minnesota kid was ready to keep the ball rolling as the day began in SoCal at Glen Helen. He was fast as always in practice and was excited to go racing. When the gate dropped for the first moto, Alex got a decent jump but lost the drag race going into the first turn. He maintained a top ten position going through the first few sections but was eating an abundance of roost from his teammates. Alex made it passed all of his teammates by the third lap and was now running 7th place. Another position was then made up quickly after and he was do- ing his best to continue forward. Then on lap four, Alex began to feel some pressure from the red plate holder, Osborne. Eventually, he would make the move on the inside of Alex, who was now in 7th place. Fortunately, Alex caught a break when a rider in front of him was forced to pull off and he would cruise to a 6th place finish. In the next moto, Alex got a similar start and was struggling to get inside the top
ten early on. Nevertheless, he put his head down and began to move forward. Alex steadily made his way passed his fellow riders and after seven laps he had caught Austin Forkner who was sitting in 5th. Alex continued to be smart and eventually got around the Kawasaki rider. He would go on to finish 5th place in the moto, which combined with his first moto score, would be good enough for 6th overall at Glen Helen.
