Christopher Harris was the class of the field in the 51cc (4-6) classes at The Motoplayground Race at Ponca City. The young Texan was building off of a third place finish at the Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Championship -- and he undoubtedly picked up right where left off a couple of months ago in Tennessee. He never finished worse than second place throughout the entirety of the weekend in either 51cc (4-6) classes, capturing three second place finishes and a pivotal moto victory in the Special Limited class that earned him the championship. Harris experienced some nail biting battles with Colorado’s Gage Dunham in both motos, exchanging race wins with his fellow Cobra rider. In the opening 51cc (4-6) Special Limited moto, Harris put himself at a minor disadvantage at the start of the race, crossing the finish line for the first time in fourth position. Nonetheless, the Texan remained undeterred and charged forward,
