>> The Mount Rushmore State cast its vote and made Thunder Ridge the #1 track throughout the contents of the state for yet an- other year. It’s located in central South Dakota near Reliance, SD. It’s recognized as the premiere motocross park in all of South Da- kota and consists of two separate tracks. The main track sits in the cradle of the natural terrain and uses the rolling hills to its advan- tage as there are many elevation changes coupled with manmade obstacles. The terrain is made up of relatively soft soil that allows for maximum traction out of the loamy corners. There’s an under- ground watering system that keeps the course in perfect condition and a 30 bike starting gate as well. The secondary track is aimed toward the peewee riders and is more of a supercross style. There are large pit areas on site fitted with electrical hookups, there’s a small park for recreation by the pond, and concessions are avail- able during events.
