>> Concealed between the mountainous region just west of Den- ver, Thunder Valley earned the vote for the best track throughout the Centennial State. It was founded in the summer of 1999, the name was inspired by the nearby NHRA drag-racing track that shared the same name. Despite the name, the track is the high- est elevated track among the entire AMA Pro National calendar. It presents a unique challenge to the fitness of the competitors, but it also presents a unique challenge to the mechanics/engineers; the combination of the altitude and heat actually causes the fuel in the motorcycle to boil. Thunder Valley is always looking to push the envelope and stay on the front lines of progressing the sport, they held the first ever nighttime AMA Pro National back on 2009.
