>> The number 68, Heath Harrison, started out very strong in Seattle. With only a single ten-minute practice session to learn the layout of a constantly evolving track that was littered in small boulders, Harrison really needed to bring it in his heat race. Lining up for the second heat race had to make some riders feel slightly uneasy, considering how gnarly and rough it had become after the first short heat race. If Heath felt uneasy, he didn’t let it show. The Alabama native found himself in third place quickly off the start. After some heated battling and solid passing, Harrison finished his heat race in a fantastic fourth place position. The CycleTrader Rock River Yamaha conquered the rugged track conditions and was in a confident place heading into the Main. The excitement was overflowing into the night sky about Century Link Field as
the 250 West Coast riders lined up for the Main Event. The gates dropped and the riders were off. With battles quickly happening left and right, the red flag flying took a moment to comprehend. What had happened? Who was down? Unfortunately, Chase Mar- quier and Noah McConahy were involved in a crash that caused a race restart. Marquier and Mcconahy were not the only riders that were not seen lining up for the restart though, Heath Harrison also received a DNF. After a great start to his night, Harrison ended his evening with some misfortune. Hopefully we see him in Salt Lake with some more awesome heat race finishes.
