>> Justin Hoeft has been working his way forward all season long. The rookie
is currently sitting 21st in points but his best finish is a solid 10th place. Consid- ering he started the season late not racing until Oakland the rookie only has a few races under his belt. Spending the time on break riding and getting ready
for these final rounds of the season Hoeft has been putting the work in. Starting round 7 of the West Coast 250 class he qualified 11th into the night, considering they only had one timed practice, is impressive. Carrying the momentum into the heat race the Yamaha rider flew out of the gate right by the heavy hitter of Justin Hill. As the race progressed he was able to stay consistent and move forward all the way up into 3rd. Starting the night on the right foot Justin was looking com- fortable on his blue stead going into the main event. Hoping to repeat his heat race start, the IBCorp, Rynopower Yamaha rider was all focus sitting on the gate. Not getting the greatest jump he was sitting back in 13th through the first lap. With a lot of ground to make up in front of him, Hoeft needed to keep it on two wheels while racing through some challenging track conditions. By the third lap he had already gained two positions placing him in 11th. Already almost halfway through the race the time was ticking away for the Yamaha rider. Before the race neared its end he was able to make one last pass into 10th place. No improve- ment from his current best finish but it was a good start to get the ball rolling for the last half of the season leading into outdoors.
