>> Just a week ago at round 7 of the 250SX East Series Anthony Rodriguez had his best result in years when he nished 5th in Minneapolis. So far this 2018 season A-Rod has shown much speed but was unable to put it all together in a main event. In fact other then last weekend he hasn’t nished inside of the top ten all season long. His 5th in Minneapolis is exactly what the #56 needed to prove to himself that he has what it takes to run with the top of the class in the East Coast. The Venezuelan native quali ed 9th overall with a 57.624 and was set with 5th gate pick going into his heat race. Anthony came out of the gate with his Rocky Mountain ATV/MC WPS KTM near the front of the eld and came out of turn one in 3rd. One lap went by and Anthony made his way around Vann Martin to get into 2nd where he would go on to nish behind Jeremy Martin. @anthonymx56 couldn’t replicate his heat race start
in the main event and was near dead last off the start. When the rst lap ag ew the KTM rider was in 13th and applying pressure for a top ten nish. He started by getting around Josh Cartwright and Tanner Basso right away for 11th. Shortly after Rodriguez would get around a downed rider and then pass Williamson for 9th. Anthony battled back an forward with Thomas Ramette for a few laps all while dealing with pressure from Luke Renzland. A-Rod got around Ramette for 8th and also capitalized on a falling rider to overtake 7th. In the nal 5 minutes of the race Anthony got caught by Jeremy Martin and was put into 8th position where he went on to nish. All in all very impressive weekend for Anthony as he got his second top 10 nish of the season and it goes back to back with last week. Rodriguez is sitting 9th in the points and with one race left in the series he looks like he will lock down the position.
