>> Everyone who knows anything about dirt bikes or motorsports in general know or have at least heard of the #22 Australian rider of Chad Reed. Chad is a 2X Supercross Champion in the premier division. He also has a ton of accomplishments that will keep his name engraved in the record books for ever. One of them being the most career starts in the premier class. Although if Chad retired tomorrow everyone would stand up and give him amazing approval the veteran wouldn’t do so. Chad has goals and one of them is to become the oldest racer to win a Supercross main event.
So far this year Chad has 4 top ten main event nishes and 3 of them has happened in the last four rounds of racing. Speedy Reedy is not ready to hang in the boots yet and honestly why would people want him to? Its refreshing to see a guy lining up behind the gate with his very own deal just for the pure reason of being in love with the sport. Motocross/Supercross needs more riders such as Chad to shape our youth.
Reed got off to a holeshot in his heat race and the fans in the Gillette stadium made sure of letting Chad know that it didn’t go unnoticed as the fans went wild. Chad made an uncharacteristic mistake as he entered the whoops by mis-shifting. This caused Baggett to get around the Vet in the next corner Chad tried to regain the spot but was pushed into Baggetts bike by Justin Barcia. Chad was moved back to 5th where he nished and got himself ready for the main event. Chad got a mediocre jump out of the gate in the main event but sadly at the appex of the corner the privateer husqvarna rider went down. Now Chad was in last place and was able to get to 14th at the end of lap one. Reedy got by miller for 13th, Soubeyras for 12th. Near the end of the race Reed made the move on Cunningham and Friese on one lap to secure the nal top ten posi- tion.
Chads results have been slowly getting better but more things need to change if he plans to continue racing in 2019.
