The (4-8) class was stacked with lots of fast kids, including Loretta’s winner Luke Fauser. Dennis put in a solid string of results to earn himself an 8th place overall which is an achievement not to be understated. The bigger class was also running a different section of the track that the younger class was not, featuring a rutted uphill section that was
all about picking a line and carrying momentum. He gained a wealth of experience from racing with the older kids and it only furthered his confidence on track for the races in the smaller class. The youngster out of Florida managed to replicate the
clean sweep of the (4-6) class he put on at the Dude Ranch and continued his streak of moto victories into the Baja Brawl. Dennis was able to get himself out front early in all three races, giving himself a clear path at the front of the field and only the track to race. The #930 Cobra turned the fastest lap of the race on the
first full lap in all three motos as well, oftentimes running a pace
a couple of seconds faster than his competitors and managing
to avoid getting caught up in a battle with any of his rivals. He wrapped up the championship with ease and will be heading back to Florida with a Leonidas award to call his own. Dennis seems to be making huge strides every time he lines up on the gate and it’d be foolish to bet against anyone else in the (4-6) class when the racing starts at Ponca City in the beginning of October.
