The Tennessee rider was killing his starts all weekend in the smaller classes and started practically every race out front,
but he wasn’t able to hold it together for all six Super Mini
races. His best finish on the Super Mini was a 2nd on the first day of racing and he reigned it in for 3rd throughout the rest
of the races. Thrasher didn’t quite have the pace to live with Beise and Hammaker throughout the racing, but he pushed as hard as he could to try and stay with them. The 3rd Super Mini
1 moto produced a holeshot for Thrasher and he tried to drop the hammer and escape at the front of the field just as he had done on
his 85cc machine, but Hammaker was able to work his way around him relatively early. Mid-way through the lap, Thrasher attempted to make a block pass and he ran it in deep down the inside before the uphill triple and took Hammaker over the berm, crashing himself in
the process. This move sacrificed the lead to Carter Biese and Seth Hammaker was able to hold onto 2nd after jumping the berm. All in all, it was a stellar weekend of results for Thrasher with fifteen races and fifteen podiums, and an accumulation of three Leonidas awards. The young Rides Unlimited racer will be looking to make an impact on the smaller classes at Ponca City come the beginning of October, and it’s almost a certainty that he will win some motos in the process.
