PLUS 40

>> Revs were up on the gate for the 40+ class as racing action continued in the Georgia Dom. It was a dogfight to the first corner that resulted in a small pileup, but it was the Suzuki of Matt Shue that ended up securing the lead position in the opening rhythm sec- tion. He was able to find his flow early on and build a multi-second gap within just the opening lap. William Wilson worked his way into second position on the second lap and began to separate himself from the battle for third, but there was no catching Shue out front. The home state hero was on another level than the rest of the com- petition as he flowed from corner to corner with ultimate precision; scrubbing each jump with confidence and style, wheel tapping the whoops section with unrivaled technique, and providing himself the opportunity to choose lines at his own will. Shue worked his way into lap traffic with only a couple of laps to go as he smartly carved his way through the slower riders, eventually greeting the check- ered flag with slight whip of his Suzuki after a dominant victory.
