>> The 85cc machines shot out of the gate in a furious bunch as the Kawaski of Jett Reynolds secured the early lead. The Califor- nian created a gap of almost two seconds in just the opening lap as he opened up an advantage over the KTM of Daxton Bennick as well as the Suzuki of Dakota Aldredge. The two of them battled tightly for second position, swapping inside and outside lines which only allowed Reynolds to disappear at the front of the pack. The Kawasaki rider had already worked his way into the tail-end of the field just before the end of the second lap, a testament to his freak- ish speed and skill. Reynolds carved his way through lappers with extreme precision as he eventually reached a gap of one full sec- tion over Bennick in second place. The three podium contenders spread out with an equidistant gap between them as they settled into their respective rhythms on the track, but Reynolds was clearly on another level than his competition. The Team Green Kawasaki star dove to the inside before the catapult in order be entirely sure of his dominant victory, subsequently taking his second main event win of the first inaugural Motofest.
