>> The privateer Texas Native of Alex Ray is loving life riding his dirt bike on the professional stage of AMA Supercross. The K1 Speeds/ Spider Energy Drink/ FXR rider has made a total of 6 main events in his career with a best finish of 20th which was a
in the 2016 season at round 15 in Foxborough. Oakland marked main event number 7 and a career best finish. Alex has been put- ting in the work in the off season and after 5 rounds he is sitting just 1 point less than he received all of last year. The night started off good in Oakland with two top 10’s in his heat and semi races. Ray missed out of qualifying straight out of the semi by just two positions. The Husqvarna equipped rider got the best jump of the field in the last chance qualifier but came into the corner with a little to much speed, pushing himself wide into turn one just nar- rowly missing the holeshot to factory Husqvarnas Dean Wilson. Alex moved back to 4th in the first rhythm but luckily because he was pushed wide in the first corner he was set up for the inside on turn two and was able to capitalize taking the low side of the berm to get himself into 2nd. There was no catching Dean but 2nd was good enough to put him in the main event. @aray314 started the main event in 20th place, playing cat and mouse with Clason and Enticknap. When it was all said and done the #314 got a 18th place finish on the gnarliest track of his career.
