>> Noah Mcconahy has been building up some momentum in recent weeks reeling off two straight thirteenth place finishes which tied his previous career best coming into the season. The privateer rider from way up in the Pacific Northwest has been finding his groove in the 250 class. He had some breakout rides in the 450 class during the outdoor series last summer and he seems to be starting to back up that showed potential after he struggled at the first few rounds of this series. To start his day in Oakland, Mcconahy had a little bit of a hard time in practice only qualifying twenty second overall on the rough and tough course but looked to turn it around when the races came around.
Mcconahy put that qualifying effort behind him and put together a great heat race. He started in sixth place and reeled off some fast laps hop- ping into fifth place all the way until the final lap when Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Austin Forkner snuck by bumping him back to sixth. For Mcconahy, that race set the tone for the main event.
Initially, the main event looked to be a disappointing one for the JMC Powersport Integrity Electric Husqvarna because he got hung up in a big pile up to start the race. He came out of lap one way back in eighteenth place. On the bright side, he had nothing to lose so he started making moves. He dug deep and steadily charged his way to the front. He made it up to eleventh by the halfway point and did not stop there. He powered through the brutally rough track and made two more gritty passes to notch a season and career best ninth place finish. Mcconahy is making his presence known in the 250 class and intends to keep it going next weekend in Dallas.
