Jordan started her week off in practice great, she qualified well in her respective women classes but struggled a bit in the boy’s classes. During practice, the track was deep and slow but as the day went on, Jordan began to find her groove and lay down some laps. The first moto of Girls Sr. went according to plan as Jordan was able to get into 2nd place early.
A mistake by her competitor, Canfield, let Jordan cruise to the victory. In the second moto, Jordan had a worse start but was able to get into 2nd and put her focus on the leader, Canfield. She gave it everything she had but fell short by a half a second. She finished 2nd overall. A similar story would be the case in Women 14+. Jordan got a decent start but was able to climb up through the pack and was in 1st by lap three. She cruised to victory and hoped the next moto would be similar. The next moto was one of the most interesting races of all the Freestone motos. JJ got a good start and set her sights on Canfield. They were about as close as it gets but Jordan fell short in the photo finish and got 2nd. Because of Canfield’s poor moto 1 finish, Jordan would clench the championship in Women 14+. Jordan ate roost the entire first moto of Schoolgirl, finishing a very close 2nd place. She was able to come away with the win after yet another battle with Canfield in the second moto, and grabbed the Schoolgirl championship. Jordan finished 26th in each of the boys classes and knows what she needs to work on. With a second place overall and 2 championships, Jordan had a very successful trip to Texas and will definitely be a title contender at the next race.
