So, it wasn’t so much that you had a passion for restoring bikes but more so your passion for motorcycles in general kind of led to what you’re doing now?
It did and it all happened at such an unusual time. My love for motocross and dirt bikes obviously began in the early sev- enties like so many guys that are my age now, but right around 1999 when all of the sudden everyone has a computer in their house and you can see what’s going on out there, and vintage motocross really began to gain traction -- it was just the right thing at the right time for me. I had owned a leasing and nance company for many years; I grew very weary of that job and sold the company in 1999, I had a couple of bucks in the bank and that’s when I discovered vintage moto- cross and racing, the parts that were available, and just the great camaraderie with all the people involved. It just all fell into place at the right time.
