>> Aaron Plessinger has been riding an impressive season with several podium finishes and one overall win. However it hasn’t been perfect getting a concussion just two races ago, but he has been quick to make up for the bad rounds. Heading into Washougal, Plessinger was prepared to keep it on two wheels and onto that podium. Qualifying 10th fastest for the day he had some work to do to find that speed that’ll put him into the top three. As the gate dropped for moto one, the Star Racing Yamalube Yamaha rider launched out of the gate and into the first turn grabbing himself the hole- shot. Never looking back he quickly began to pull away from the rest of the riders giving himself a nice gap early on in the race. Staying consistent the entire moto, Plessinger lead every lap from start to finish grabbing himself his second moto win of the season. The start of moto two wasn’t as ideal as the last leaving him sitting back around 6th through the first turn. Now having to work his way through some riders it was time for Plessinger to leave it all on the track as he worked his way forward. But on lap four a small mistake cost him big sending him back even further into 12th. He quickly made up for it passing a rider back the next lap before settling into 11th for a couple of laps. Frustrated he started charging even harder work- ing his way into 9th. Now inside the top ten, there just wasn’t enough time left in the moto for the Yamaha rider to get any more passes. Going 1-9 for the day, Plessinger finished 6th overall for round nine of the pro motocross series and sitting 6th in points.
