>> What a day for Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Jason Anderson. The sky was clear and hot Tennessee sun was beating down
on riders as they lined up for what was bound to be an action packed first moto at Muddy Creek. The revs were high as bikes propelled forward over the fallen gates and went careening into the sweeping first turn. Barcia had quickly nabbed the Holeshot, but the number 21 machine of Anderson was right on his tail. Anderson made a pivotal pass on Barcia, but Barcia quickly retaliated with an aggressive block pass, but then Anderson makes it stick with the final move. Jason Anderson had ignited a fire as he moved into the first place position mere moments after the gate drop. These flames would not be extinguished any time soon for the New Mexico native. Anderson was on a mission as he consistently cut through the thick, humid air that had settled within the rolling hills of Eastern Tennessee, all while creating
a larger lead on his competitors. The energy was electric as the checkered flag flew and Anderson accomplished step one of what he came to Blount- ville to prove. After a drama free first moto, Jason Anderson was looking forward to the second moto with hopes of an overall within arms reach. The gates dropped for moto number to and this 40-man battle was on. Off the start, Anderson makes an early pass on Peick and moves into third place with Canard and Tomac in his sights. Jason Anderson soon makes a small mistake causing Bogle to go by but his motivation does not falter as he soon passes Bogle and Canard to find second place. Anderson, signature un-tucked jersey flying in the wind, puts in solid lap after solid lap for the re- mainder of the race. With one lap remaining and Tomac 26 seconds ahead, Jason Anderson finishes the moto in second place; leaving Muddy Creek with a second place overall.
