>> Just a week ago at Round 4 of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Cham- pionship the real Cooper Webb that everyone expected showed up. He was able to come away with 5-6 finished which is his best two finishes at a single round so far. That being said the #2 of Webb proved that he could be a constant threat for top 5 finishes. Sadly at Round 5 in Ten- nessee Cooper was unable to replicate those finishes. On the plus side the former 250 champion was able to pull together two consistent 9th place finishes for 9th overall. In the first moto of the day Webb got a top ten start and stayed in 9th or 10th throughout the whole race until the final five minutes when he got pushed back to 11th by Dean Wilson. In the very final stages of the race Cooper was able to get around early front runner Bogle who was dropping positions dramatically late in the moto. Webb also managed to get around Canard at the end of the race. The Yamaha mounted rider of Webb seemingly didn’t have the speed in the first race like he showed in moto #2. Webb got tangled up on lap one of the second race with Tickle and Baggett. All three riders went down with Webb being able to remount his machine first with Baggett following quickly Tickle took a bit longer to get going. The stage was set it was time for Webb to prove not only to himself but to everyone that he could hang with the best of the class. After just 5 minutes Webb was already up to 18th position and still holding off Blake. It took BB4 12 minutes to find a way around the #2 of Webb and at that point Cooper seemed to have lost wind in his sail. Cooper stayed in 12th position the next 15 minutes and then was able to capitalize on others misfortunes to finish in 9th. 9-9 on the day for 9th overall and currently sitting 9th in the championship standings.
