>> Marvin sustained a knee injury prior to High Point which made him loose the points lead a week ago at the High Point national. Marvin came into Tennessee riding with injury once again in hopes to keep his championship hunt alive. Although reports stated that Musquins knee wasn’t causing him much pain anymore Musquin showed otherwise in his riding efforts this weekend at round 5. Marvin qualified outside of the top 10 which could have been taken as the first clue. After the opening lap of moto #1 Musquin was running in 12th. Eventually the #25 Fac- tory KTM rider of Musquin started to make up on lost ground by passing both Wilson and Webb in one lap putting him in 9th. 15 minutes passed and Musquin was only up to 8th position. Near the end of the race Marvin started to block out the pain and rode with pure passion and desire. He eventually got by Barcia for 5th but Barcia put a block pass on Musquin with corners remaining. Musquin lost the spot to Barcia and another spot to Tickle. Marvin started in 7th in moto two unfortunately for Marvin he started to move backwards. Ten minutes of racing went by and it became apparent that Marvin was dealing with bike issues. MM25 fought valiantly for the next 15 minutes of racing before retiring back to the pits with just over 3 minutes of racing to go. The bike issue was a front brake issue that Marvin couldn’t race with any longer. Mar- vin went from being the points leader to trailing by 34 points. Hopefully Marv turn his season back around at round 6.
