>> The start to the 250 East Coast Supercross Series was a quiet one for Traders Racing Yamaha’s Luke Renzland. He kicked off the night with a mid pack start in heat race number one. The rst turn was a wild design this weekend at round seven leaving riders outside the top ve essentially funneling in behind each other. This made a mid pack start even worse as Luke had to tip toe his way around the rst few turns. Coming around the rst lap 14th, Luke immediately started making quick work of the riders in front of him. Moving passed riders with authority, Renzland was show- ing some of the new rookie riders he passed the quick way around the track. Before the race came to an end Luke worked his way all the way up to 6th place. The Main Event started off worse for Luke (along with many other riders) as he was caught up in a massive rst turn pile up. Getting up and out of the carnage as quick as possible, Luke started his race buried deep in the pack in 16th place. With the track breaking down and getting extremely rough, Luke found some smoother lines and was dicing though the pack. After making a few passes and capitalizing on others mistakes, Renzland would cross the nish line in 10th place. Not a bad way to start the series considering the rst turn crash. With the speed he showed throughout the day, a good start could easily land The Trader’s Racing Yamaha rider inside the top ve.
