>> Sitting on the starting line of this rst practice session, Dylan Ferrandis was con dent and quiet for the test in which he was about to take. Covered in head to toe with assault gear, his bike was armed with extra foam, multiple vision aids, and lathered in a slick coat of WD-40. The aforementioned, to keep his efforts as honest possible, hoped to propel him to top of the leader board as practice would nish. With a large shuf e of new riders ocking towards the top, as the nal session would conclude, his gatepick wouldn’t be as optimal as usual. Yet, as always, he would put his nose to the grindstone, and attack the rst few laps of moto one with integrity. With a slew of Yamaha’s and Geico Hondas out front to begin, he would be ghting tooth and nail to conquer a top ten position. But, in all reality, all he wanted was a clear track to really put down some astonishing laptimes. Hovering in the high two-minute range, he would try his best to elimi- nate any outliers that arose, and keep his con dence steady, no matter how much Justin Coop- ertried to deter it. The bike, after about halfway that is, really began to be weighted down, and his arms were beginning to ripple the effects. Luckily, his off-season weight training had added a bit more muscle to his frame, and he was capable of forcing the bike where it needed to be, as the laps would continue on. The clouds weren’t going to break, and everyone knew the damage had been done, yet he kept reaching forward. However, with just a few short laps remaining, his bike would stall! A constant yearn to stay within the top ten, he would somehow get the bike across the line due to many people pulling off. He managed to come across the line in somewhat of a decent spot, salvaging as many points as he could; he would nish tenth. Looking to generate a good drive off the line, he would do so, and come across timing and scoring in seventh. The sun would begin to rare its head just a tad, but would quickly be shut down with a shot of rain every few minutes. Plessinger would be out front this go-around, with Hampshire, Nichols, and crew in town. He could see the top of his class out in the distance, sliding around the slop, and hoping to move forward with their momentum. He would do so, picking his way through traf c lap by lap. Claiming fourth, his scores would be tallied for seventh overall.
