JORDAN JARVIS
Jordan Jarvis has found extreme amounts
of success in 2017 in the form of thirteen separate number one plates throughout the racing season. The Yamaha standout didn’t have the success that she regularly finds at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch with a couple of small mistakes and misfortune prohibiting her from hoisting her fourteenth number one plate of the year, but the North Carolina native has placed the week in Tennessee behind her and heads to the Brawl with redemption on her mind as she looks to replicate her results from last year at Baja Acres with a couple of championships. In addition to the Girls (9-15) class and the Womens (12+) class, Jarvis also contested the Schoolboy 1 and 125 B/C class to test her mettle against some of the fastest boys in her age group. She found moderate success throughout the weekend in both classes, continuing to improve into the later motos as she eventually scored a fourth place moto finish in the final 125 B/C moto of the weekend at the track’s roughest. It was an impressive finish that propelled
her to fourth place overall as a result of all three motos, proving her potential against some different competition. In both of the the women’s classes, it was just another week- end at the office for the North Carolina native as she went undefeated in all six motos with dominant performances every time she hit the track. It was evident that Jarvis had a mental edge on the competition every time she lined up on the gate, utilizing exceptional starts aboard her Yamaha to soar to an early lead in all six motos. Her lap times were on another level than the competition, anywhere between five and ten seconds faster than her closest rival depending on the moto. In the Womens (12+) class, Jarvis outclassed the field on her YZ125 although she was pitted against a multitude of riders competing on 250Fs. Her unwavering composure and focus at the front of the field carried her to a trio
of victories with a winning margin of almost forty seconds and the Girls (9-15) class was no different, catapulting the rider out of North Carolina to a trio of uncontested moto wins. Jarvis’ undeniable dominance in the women’s classes and her unrelenting determination in the boy’s classes earned her a pair of num- ber one plates and loads of respect following the successful weekend in Michigan, setting her up for a breakout performance in the Supermini class at the upcoming Monster Energy Cup.
