KILPATRICK
SETH DENNIS
The newest addition to the Team Dunlop Elite program, Seth Dennis took the ama- teur motocross world by storm coming into the new year after winning all three of his motos at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in 2016. The little Floridian has put to- gether a solid season of results thus far throughout the 2017 season, collecting a multitude of titles in the 51cc class while gaining valuable experience in the 65cc class. He contested the 51cc (7-8) Lim- ited class at the Ranch and finished ev- ery single moto on the podium, resulting in a second place overall finish. Dennis showed up at the Baja Brawl in 2016 and clinched the title in the 51cc (4-6) Limited class, making him one of the favorites
to repeat the feat in the older classes in 2017. He started the weekend off in fine style with a pair of second place finishes between both 51cc classes, complement- ed by a third place finish in the 65cc (7-9) Limited class. Dennis battled fiercely with Canyon Richards throughout the entire weekend, but their rivalry came to life on the first day of racing. He led the first two laps of the (7-8) Limited moto, but was forced to concede the victory to Richards on the final lap of action after the race came down to the wire. The second day of racing brought forth the Team Dunlop Elite rider’s first moto win of the week- end, as he reigned victorious in the (7-8) Limited class after narrowly missing out on the win the day before. Dennis did
a brilliant job of maintaining his consis- tency, notching a second place finish in the (4-8) Open class behind Richards. The two of them established themselves as the class of the field and they were
on another level than the competition throughout the entire weekend, but their tightly contested battles on the track kept the fans entertained. The little Floridian appeared to be fired up by the challenge and he bounced back on the third day of racing with a win in the (4-8) class, but
it wasn’t enough for the overall victory as he was forced to settle for second position on the weekend. The battle for the overall in the (7-8) class came down to the last breath as both riders battled at the front of the field yet again, but it wasn’t meant to be for the #930 and he held his head high in second position overall after a stellar weekend of racing.
