>> Dylan Ferrandis has landed a fantastic opportunity aboard the Star racing Yamaha for the 2017 Season. Dylan has been looking very fast aboard the new ride and is solidifying himself as a threat in the 250 class. Last weekend in just his first ever American race, Dylan grabbed a very commendable 6th place finish. This evidently gave Dylan the extra boost of confidence he was looking for as he laid down some fast laps when prac- tice began in Atlanta. The Frenchman took to 250 Heat 1 and was looking to punch his ticket to the Main. As the gate dropped, Dylan launched off the line but was a few bike lengths behind the lead bike going down the start straight. As the riders hit the brakes, Dylan held on the gas for an extra split second, which sent him sliding into the pack. He was able to
get his Yamaha turned and maneuvered his close call into a fantastic start to the Heat. Dylan jumped his way into the lead early on and was looking fast and loose. He was running very impressive laps but eventually fell victim to a hard charging Adam Cianciarulo. Dylan would go on to take 2nd place, making a big statement to the rest of the field. When the Main Event began, Dylan’s confidence was flowing as he got off to another fantastic start and was challenging for the lead early on. As he made his way to the end of the first rhythm section, he dove to the inside before the wall but the Georgia sand was too deep and pulled Dylan down. Unfortunately,
his promising night would take a turn for the worse as he was brushing the sand off of his Yamaha. Dylan then remounted in an astonishing 7th place and was putting down some impressive times. Unfortunately, things went from bad to worse for Dylan as he hit the ground again coming out of a corner. As they neared the halfway point, Dylan was now losing spots quickly and it seemed something was either wrong with him or the bike. It seemed he was now in salvage mode as he rode to a disappointing 18th place finish in Atlanta.
