>> The transition from the amateur to professional ranks is certainly not for that of the faint of heart; it can belittle, and shatter your confidence in an instant, making you wonder where the success from yesterday went. It takes a certain type of will power within to reiterate the point that you belong here. Your championship resume of the past should be an indica- tor of what you can do in the present. Adam Cianciarulo’s resume is as well as any; prior to his embark on the 2017 Monster Energy Supercross series. Stuffed with championships, race wins, medallions, and sponsor- ships alike, the thought of the past can be wiped away so very quickly once you realize the task at hand. He knows what it takes to reach the limelight in the professional ranks, judging by those who are leading the field. The question is, what is he willing to do to make that small leap to professional stardom? Judging by his presence in Atlanta, the answer to the aforementioned was “anything and everything.” The number 36 found himself in fourth place following the collapse of the pin for the 250 main event. His lanky nature attempting to pivot around the unforgiving Geor- gia clay, but was having a tad bit of trouble keeping the wheels in optimal alignment. After a front-end wash down the start straight, he was pushed back to eighth, beside an ally in Green color, Savatgy. The friendliness didn’t last for long however, running it in hard on Savatgy, leaving them to work it out back in the truck, rather than on the racecourse. He would fol- low suit of the number 17, making his way around RJ at the eight minute mark, now sitting seventh; but not for long however, the wave of ups and downs continued, as he would collide with a downed Dylan Ferrandis, and be pushed off the track; his momentum stopped. The number 36 would continue to push on, his legs acting as shock absorbers as he was scrubbing his way forward. The lifelong team green rider would push his way to seventh by race end, fortunate to ride another day.
