>> The rider out of Haines City, Florida struggled tonight. After an elev- enth place finish last weekend at Round Seven in Minneapolis, Malcolm Stewart was confidently trying to shoot for a top ten spot at Round Eight in the Atlanta, Georgia Dome. The Malcolm Stewart Racing/Seven rider lined up for, a guaranteed to be exciting, first 450 heat race. Malcolm was off to a decent start but soon found himself making contact with Redbull KTM’s Trey Canard and then stalling his forty-seven machine in a corner. Stewart was able to gain a few positions, but it was not enough to put
the Suzuki in a Main Even transfer position. Malcolm got eighth place and was heading to 450 Semi Race one. Malcolm Stewart knew what
he had to do to get into the Main and dug deep in the Semi. Off the start, Brayton had the holeshot and was quickly passed by a determined Jason Anderson with Tomac in third behind them. Malcolm, in a heated battle for fourth place with Champion, soon makes a pass. Tomac has passed Brayton, putting Brayton in Third and Malcolm is reeling him in. Malcolm Stewart was really redeeming himself in the Semi Moto and giving it his all as he passed Brayton for third place. Malcolm was advancing to the Main Event. After the fire we all saw in Malcolm during the Semi, there was definitely a possibility of him producing some solid results in the Main Event. The final Supercross race in the Georgia Dome was about to begin. Unfortunately, Malcolm was not able to get the start he needed to truly shine in Atlanta. M. Stewart sat in fourteenth place on lap one and was able to put in pretty consistent laps, crossing the finish line in fifteenth place. Malcolm Stewart has got the spark to be a top ten con- tender, let’s hope he lights a fire next weekend in Toronto.
