>> After having a rough time last weekend in Minneapolis for the start
of the 250 East Coast season, Kyle Peters had a much better time in
the Georgia dome. Suffering from constant first turn crashes last week- end, the JGR Suzuki rider still managed a top ten finish. After not even planning to race the 2017 season, Peters got the opportunity to ride on the JGR team. He started out the second round of the 250 East Coast championship on a high note getting a good start in his heat race. Hold- ing down third place all the way till the last lap where he got passed by Jordan Smith. Fighting hard till through the end, Peters finished off in fourth place transferring to the main event. Charging hard into the tight first turn of the main event, the JGR Suzuki rider was sitting back around 10th. Having to keep some heavy hitters of the class at bay, Peters’ was working hard to hold onto 10th place. Losing a position to Noren, he fell back to 11th with Mitchell Harrison on his tail. About six minutes into the race, the #56 made his way up to 9th place. Cianciarulo was on his tail trying to find his way back to the front, and Peters unfortunately wasn’t able to hold him back losing his ninth place spot. Not holding back, he continued to charge through the main event. When Hampshire made
a mistake that caused him to go down, Peters worked his way into 9th. With only a few minutes left of the race, the JGR Suzuki rider continued to fight for his position through to the finish. Two weekends in a row the #56 made it within the top ten with 9th place finishes.
