>> Each and every year you hear the question “Imagine if that guy could get a start?”. When that question was being asked it was usually about Aaron Plessinger. AP would usually find himself battling through the pack to get himself inside of the top 5, if not a podium position or a possible win. This year has been different though. We have seen Plessinger get good starts but he is way out of the championship and has been for a while. The two races at Southwick where he received zero points caused a huge problem for Aaron but I along with others expected more out of the #23 this year. In his defense he has been dealing with a nagging injury and he has the most points out of his teammates. Not all is lost for Aaron I see him as a con- tender come supercross 2018.
This weekend at Budds Creek was a solid one for the Star Racing YamaLube Ya- maha rider as he put together two solid top five finishes. In race one AP rounded out the top five on the opening lap and finished there respectfully. It was deja vu in moto two as AP was once again in 5th after the opening lap. It looked like Aaron was go- ing to stay in 5th until a crash by Jeremy Martin moved Plessinger to 4th. Aaron also mad a short run at Adam Cianciarulo for 3rd in the final 1/3 of the race before settling into 4th. Just one weekend of racing remains and it is at the IronMan National, which seems to suit Aaron well according to previous years results, Can Aaron finish the season on a high note? Also the off season is just a week away this will give AP the much needed time to regroup and prepare for 2018.
