>> After a solid thirteenth place overall last weekend at Unadilla, Yamalube/ Star Racing/ Yamaha rider, Mitchell Harrison arrived in Mechanicsville, Mary- land in search of more results within the top fifteen. The sun was high above the forested valley that is Budd’s Creek as spectators gazed down upon the starting line where the riders lined up, and like so many legendary riders before them, they were completely prepared to go into battle for what they’ve trained for day in and day out. The big, bold thirty-second board contrasted the scenic Southern Maryland backdrop and the bikes were off. Forty beastly machines simultaneously roared down the start straight away and the number 45 of Mitchell Harrison was right along side of them until first turn carnage caused some of the most promising racers to fall behind on lap one. Harrison found himself in the twenty-ninth place position and knew that he needed to start his road to redemption as soon as possible if he wanted to finish this moto in the spot that he knew he was capable of. Lap after lap, Harrison was picking off his competition and by the time that the halfway point of the race arrived, he had worked his way into fourteenth place. This Michigan boy was not finished yet though; he used the remainder of the moto wisely and was able to gain three more positions before the checkered flag, finishing in eleventh place. After a comeback like that, Harrison knew what had to be done in the second moto if he wanted a spot within the prestigious top ten. Immediately off the gate drop of moto number two, Mitchell Harrison was sitting in an excellent eighth place spot. The track conditions were challenging and by the second lap Harrison moved back into eleventh place, but then quickly passed the number 105 machine of Clarke to gain a spot in the top ten. Harrison held onto his spot within the top ten all the way to the finish line. Mitchell Harrison has showed us so much raw talent this season and was able to prove himself once again this weekend at Budd’s Creek.
