Putting a good start in he is third on lap one chasing down the front runner. reel- ing in millsaps a section at a time tomac pushes him high into a turn getting around him. now in 2nd behind roczen he keeps the distance around 2.5 seconds. as the race goes on the gap begins to lengthen, and his lead on dungey begins to fade. he makes a small mistake through the whoops giving dungey that extra time he needed to catch him and make the pass. Unable to retaliate back against dungey, tomac finishes the race in 3rd his first time on the podium this year.
